Borodii A. The theory of perceptual experience in enactivism

In the thesis, the problematization of perceptual experience within the framework of the philosophical research program of enactivism was investigated. The problem is topical due to the need of building a paradigmatically new theory of perception, which aims to refute the representational view of perception as a computational or computerized process of processing nerve impulses. Within the framework of enactive doctrine, an innovative methodological approach to the study of the nature of perception was proposed, besides that the research establishes the conditionality of perceptual phenomena by the interaction between consciousness and the world through the bodily domain. The uniqueness of the theory of enactivism is in the phenomenological approach of working with perception, in particular, the category of perception is understood by enactivist philosophers as a pure concept, free from metaphorization and comparisons.
