Kkhelufi A. Theological foundations of modern novations of John Locke

The dissertation is devoted to the issues of theological influences on the modern philosophical ideas of John Locke. The writing of this work is due, first of all, to the fact that the topic of the role of theology in his philosophy remains understudied. Focusing attention on this issue is due to several factors. In particular, the studies of some modern Western philosophers, who not only studied the connection between the theological and philosophical ideas of the thinker, but even proposed to consider theology as a key for understanding the entire philosophical system of John Locke. In addition, despite the widespread opinion about the role of John Locke’s philosophy in the formation of European political thought, lacunae in his biography and views still remain unfilled. There is no professional translation of any of the thinker’s texts by a professional philosopher in Ukraine. The works important for understanding the religious ideas of John Locke are also not adequately represented in the national scientific discourse.
