Essay

In the dissertation, a scientific and applied problem is solved, aimed at reducing risks in railway transport through the improvement of methods of diagnostics of axle joints of freight cars. The state of traffic safety was investigated and it was established that the last wagons were rejected due to deficiencies in maintenance and repair, in particular, of axle assemblies. Risk assessment methods and mathematical models have been developed, which are successfully used to improve railway traffic safety. The use of vibration diagnostics during the maintenance and repair of bogie assemblies of freight cars allowed to significantly reduce the risks of failure of the axle assemblies. Research results have practical applications for improving maintenance and traffic safety in railway transport.
