Pomazan D. Improving the energy efficiency of the system "heat engine – traction electric drive" of the diesel locomotive

The object of research is the processes occurring in the system "heat engine - traction drive - energy storage". The research was carried out using methods of comparative analysis of technical means based on Harrington's desirability function, generalized theory of electromechanical energy converters, approximation by cubic splines, finite elements, dynamic programming, synthesis of regulators, simplification of structural schemes. As a result of the research the actual scientific and applied task of increasing the energy efficiency of diesel locomotives with traction electric transmission, which is carried out by using hybrid traction electric transmission and the use of energy-optimal train modes. The scope of the dissertation results is the technical operation of autonomous traction units of railway transport when performing their shunting and export work.
