Essay

The dissertation research is devoted to the research and solution of the actual scientific problem, which consists of the development and improvement of burners for burning pellets of agricultural origin, the determination of the main laws of the process of their combustion, and the study of the influence of regime parameters on the thermal state of the furnace chamber of a low-power boiler. The work conducted a literary and patent search on the topic of dissertation research. An assessment of the general state of the bioenergy industry and current trends in the use of biofuels of agricultural origin in Ukraine, which has a certain potential for the development of this direction due to a significant resource base, has been carried out. According to the results of the analysis of literary sources, it was found that biomass is mainly used to produce heat in large or medium-sized boilers of centralized heating systems and domestic boilers with firewood/pellets, in furnaces, and fireplaces. It is established that the use of agro-plants in domestic boilers is becoming more common. This is due not only to environmental benefits but also to high thermal efficiency and ease of use. The development of technologies for the production and burning of agro-plants allows for achieving higher combustion efficiency while minimizing air pollution by harmful substances. Given these aspects, agri-plants can play a key role in the transition to a more sustainable and sustainable energy future. In addition, biofuels of agricultural origin in Ukraine as a strategic resource to meet the fuel needs of the population and replace imported natural gas and the strictest economy of fuel and energy resources, especially in wartime. In the course of the dissertation, an experimental installation was improved and implemented based on a solid fuel boiler of the VIADRUS type with a thermal capacity of 30 kW with an original pellet burner, which allows us to thoroughly study the features of burning various types of agri-plants and fuel of plant origin for heating a house in a branch of the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of NAS of Ukraine (Bulakhovsky St., 2).
