Holub Y. Social-ecological principles of the planning structure optimization of the city (a case of study of Chernihiv)

The work is devoted to the study of the socio-ecological principles of the planning structure optimization of the city of Chernihiv, the study of factors that influence its formation, the analysis of changes in the planning structure and urban planning processes of the city of Chernihiv, the identification of problems of the functioning and transformation of the city, and the justification of measures to optimize the planning structure of Chernihiv . Various approaches to the definition of the concept of "city" as a sociogeographical and socio-ecological category are analyzed, a number of urban planning concepts and theories regarding the formation and transformation of cities are considered. The definition of the category "improvement of the city territory" is formulated, its main elements and tasks are considered. The factors that influence the formation and optimization of the planning structure of Chernihiv are substantiated, including: historical prerequisites, natural conditions and resources, industrial development of the city, population and social sphere, ecological condition, development of transport infrastructure, administrative and management factors and regulatory and legal software. The specifics of the development of the territory of Chernihiv and the attractiveness of the city space are defined. The main urban planning documents were considered, in particular the General Plan of Chernihiv, the Detailed Plan of the central part of the city, the Program of urban planning activities in Chernihiv for 2021-2023.
