Kyryliuk M. Geoinformation mapping of the nature reserve fund of Ukraine

The work is dedicated to the solution of an actual scientific and practical task - the development of a scientific basis for geo-informational mapping of the natural reserve fund of Ukraine by creating an interactive atlas. In the first section of the work, the experience of national and international normative legal acts that regulated and regulates the issue of nature protection, in particular the creation and functioning of nature protection areas, is studied. The most significant document is the 17 global Sustainable Development Goals agreed by the heads of state and government (in 2015) at the United Nations Summit on Sustainable Development during the 70th session of the UN General Assembly and implemented into national legislation by the decree of the President of Ukraine. The definition of the concept of nature reserve fund was formed in accordance with the national legislation and its condition was outlined (number of objects, area, distribution by regions). A retrospective review of the development of the nature reserve fund on the territory of Ukraine was conducted. Methodological approaches to the assessment of territories for inheritance are outlined. The foreign and domestic experience of mapping the nature reserve fund, the main approaches and principles to the selection of indicators are analyzed, the main cartographic works that reveal this concept are given. It was established that, despite the large number of cartographic works devoted to the issue of nature conservation areas, there is still no comprehensive national and regional level information resource on the territories and objects of the nature reserve fund in Ukraine. This determined the expediency of substantiating the creation of an interactive atlas of the nature reserve fund of Ukraine. The second chapter substantiates the system of cartographic works for displaying the state and development of the nature reserve fund at different territorial levels: national and regional. A system of quantitative and qualitative indicators has been formed, which reveal the content of the maps, which affects their scale and the main approaches to the design of conventional marking systems. The existing cartographic works revealing the state and development of the nature reserve fund at different territorial levels were created at different times, using different approaches. Currently, there is no unified system of conventional designations of territories and objects of the nature reserve fund (such as for geological maps). Because of this, the problem arose of substantiating a unified system of cartographic works for displaying the state and development of the nature reserve fund with a unified approach to choosing scales, selecting indicators and developing a system of conditional designations at different territorial levels, one of the practical solutions of which can be an interactive atlas of the nature reserve fund of Ukraine. The third section is devoted to the development of the concept of an interactive atlas of the nature reserve fund of Ukraine. The interactive atlas of the nature reserve fund of Ukraine is a dynamic geo-information system that will include various types of nature conservation areas and objects in accordance with the classification in accordance with the current legislation in the form of a systematic collection of maps, logically and thematically related to each other, as well as presented in order , which determines the possibility of supplementing the previous cards with the following ones. This is a complex cartographic work of ecological and nature protection orientation, the main task of which is to provide up-to-date information about the state and structure of the nature reserve fund of Ukraine as a complete system, which should prevent excessive anthropogenic influence on the environment, as well as maintain its proper ecological state. The urgency of creating an interactive atlas of the nature reserve fund is due to the need to access processed and visualized information about the state of nature conservation territories through the creation of information and cartographic systems at different territorial levels for scientific, methodical and information support, spatial territorial data analysis and prospective planning during compilation scientifically based forecasts when forming programs for the sustainable development of the country and its territories. The interactive atlas of the nature reserve fund provides a special map of the destruction of Ukrainian ecosystems due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation.
