Shestakova L. Modified fiber concrete with basalt fiber for rigid pavements

The research focuses on modified fibrous concretes. Development of modified fibrous concretes for road pavements with high strength and durability, utilizing basalt fiber and polycarboxylate superplasticizer. Physical and mechanical characteristics of modified concretes and fibrous concretes for road pavements were determined according to standards on certified equipment. X-ray phase analysis of cement matrix and microscopic analysis of structure were employed. Part of the research conducted using a 3-factor plan. Experimental-statistical models were built in COMPEX. Multi-criteria search for optimal compositions was applied. Using a complex of EC models, optimal compositions of fibrous concretes for rigid road pavements with required strength and durability, ensuring frost resistance and wear resistance, were identified. Recommended compositions were used in the construction of the R-04 Kyiv – Fastiv – Bila Tserkva – Zvenyhorodka highway by the subsidiary "Cherkasy Oblavtodor" of JSC "DAK "Automobile Roads of Ukraine". Research results are utilized in the educational process of Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture for master's students specializing in Construction and Civil Engineering (Specialty 192).
