Iniutina O. Remote Psychological Assessment of Children's Skills at Risk of Autism Spectrum Disorders

The dissertation is dedicated to the creation of an effective remote methodology for psychological assessment of the development level of children aged 1.5-6 years and determining the delay in development and the risk of autism spectrum disorders - KiDD (Kids' development diagnosis and determining the risk of autism), in the form of a smartphone application with stimulus material (in electronic format) for parents and specialists. The copyright for the methodology was registered in the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation on February 10, 2023 under the number c20230074. To create the methodology, the main skills possessed by normotypical children of each age category in 4 spheres of development (speech and communication; socialization and behavior; cognitive development; physical development and self-service) from 1.5 years to 6 years were studied, and the skills, the delayed formation of which indicates the risk of ASD ("autism markers"), were identified. As a result of testing in the application and automatic processing of the obtained data, the users of the methodology (parents and specialists) instantly receive information about the overall development of the child compared to age norms. Namely, they are informed about psychological age (in months) of each sphere of development and each individual skill of the child (up to 100 skills in each age category). The users receive information about the level of risk of ASD (low, moderate, average, high) and an automatically generated "Individual Development Plan" consisting of skills subsequent to those already possessed by the child.
