As a result of the dissertation research, an important scientific and technical issue related to the operation of lifting and transport equipment in seaports has been addressed. The aim of the dissertation research is to establish the most effective method for assessing the potential for further operation of port transshipment machines that are in long-term use. The object of research is the process of strength transformation in the metal structures of port transshipment machines when operated beyond standard load limits. The subject of research is the methods for determining the residual strength of the metal structures of lifting machines by evaluating material parameters
