The purpose of the work is to analyze cultural marginality in the conditions of socio-cultural transformations of the social space of modern society.The scientific novelty lies in the fact that for the first time in Ukrainian socio-philosophical thought, cultural marginality is comprehensively analyzed as a complex multifaceted phenomenon of socio-cultural existence, which manifests itself both in social and represented in the virtual space of modern society.
For the first time:
– a comprehensive study of cultural marginality in the social and virtual space was carried out in accordance with the characteristics of modern society, which made it possible to investigate the changes to which cultural life is subject;
– the multifacetedness of cultural marginality in the conditions of virtualization of society, which is subject to transformations under the influence of virtualization and informatization, is considered, raises the question of the crisis of the traditional typology of works of art. The convergence of culture and computer technologies led to the emergence of new types of art that exist only in virtual space (for example, virtual cultural projects, virtual performances, processing art, inter media art, etc.);
- features of the virtual cultural space of modern Ukrainian society, which is used in the creation of a new moral and ethical system of communication, within which the concept of neo-humanism is developing. In the systemic plane of cultural marginality, the role of non-discursive knowledge is growing, which helps the development of a creative personality, increases the value of multiculturalism and tolerance, and the role of post-material values of individual freedom is strengthened;
– a definition of a virtual cultural project is provided as a set of actions implemented exclusively in the virtual space or aimed at Internet users, the results of which affect the socio-cultural space of modern society and provide additional opportunities for meeting cultural needs.Clarified:
- features of virtual space as an integral component of the social space of modern society. Culture and cultural activities are changing under the influence of virtual space. Analyzing the socio-cultural situation in modern society, it should be noted that the emergence of virtual space has led to the formation of cyber culture, which assumes the presence of specific, inherently marginal worldview points of reference;
- peculiarities of cultural marginality in modern socio-cultural conditions, which is based, mainly, on the need for alternative cultural development of techno-informational civilization and denial of global universalist models of society's development;
- the specifics of the transformation of the social space of modern society from social to virtual. Modern techno-informational civilization has had a significant impact on the vital activities of key elements of society, in particular on culture and art, as the system of value orientations, which determines the forms of socio-cultural interaction of an individual, changes meaningfully. This creates a kind of cultural dichotomy, as it includes a set of norms and rules that are reproduced exclusively in the virtual space, and at the same time another set implemented under the conditions of real social existence.
The practical significance of the obtained results is that some provisions and conclusions of the qualification work expand the scope for further theoretical research into the dynamics of transformational processes under the influence of virtual space and can be used in the study of the problems of culture and cultural marginality and selective disciplines in institutions of higher education where the problems are considered development of society, compilation of textbooks, monographs and training manuals on social philosophy and other academic disciplines, which consider socio
