Rohovenko O. Legal regulation of migration (social and labor aspect)

It was emphasized that in order to improve the legal regulation of internal labor migration, the following aspects should be taken into account: the development of clear and transparent mechanisms for registering migrants and monitoring their employment; increasing the responsibility of employers for violating the legislation on migrant labor and concluding illegal agreements; ensuring the access of migrants to the labor market, especially in those regions where there is an increased need for labor; supporting migrants in the process of adaptation to a new social and cultural environment, including providing assistance in learning the language and getting to know the local culture; protection of the rights of migrants at the workplace, including the rights to decent working conditions, social protection and medical assistance; development and implementation of special programs and projects aimed at supporting internal labor migration, including educational and professional courses, financial support and benefits for migrants; ensuring coordination between various state bodies and international organizations in the field of internal labor migration; improvement of mechanisms of international cooperation in the field of labor migration, in particular, conclusion of agreements on protection of migrants' rights, resolution of disputed issues and coordination of actions; development of online resources; providing legal protection for the protection of migrants through legal support of migration processes and providing advice to migrants.
