Wang J. Formation of project-design culture of future fine arts teachers in professional training

The dissertation study revealed a modern view of the timely problem of pedagogical science and educational practice – the formation of project-design culture of future fine arts teachers in the field of professional and pedagogical training in the institution of higher pedagogical education. The aim of the study is to theoretically justify and experimentally check pedagogical conditions and the model of forming project-design culture of future fine arts teachers. Scientific novelty of the dissertation: for the first time, the conceptual essence of the phenomenon “project-design culture of future fine arts teachers” is defined; the structural components of the project-design culture of future fine arts teachers in the unity of epistemological and instructional, technological professional, worldview and integration components are revealed; the pedagogical conditions for the formation of the project-design culture of future fine arts teachers are defined and scientifically substantiated; a model of the formation of the project-design culture of future teachers of fine arts has been scientifically substantiated and developed, which is represented by the following blocks (conceptual and goal-setting, content-orienting, result- oriented and reflective); a system of criteria and indicators of the formation of the project-design culture of future teachers is defined; in accordance with the criteria and indicators of the formation of project-design culture, the levels of formation of the studied construct are characterized as follows: self-realization and variable, optional and reproductive, basic and invariant; the meaning of the concept of “project activity of the design direction” has been specified. Practical significance of the dissertation: The author developed the methods of forming the project-design culture of future fine arts teachers in professional training (informational and interpretive stage, practical and implementation stage, acmeological and creative stage); a cycle of binary lectures-presentations “Project activity of the design direction in the work of the fine arts teacher” (lectures: “Design-project methodology”, “Design-product as a result of the project activity of the design direction”, “Ergonomics in design practices”, “Design-projecting methodology”); a system of project tasks, interactive classes, topics for reflective essays, etc.
