Bushynskyi E. Regional differences in investment development of territories.

The object of the study is the process of investment development of the regions of Ukraine. The purpose of the dissertation is to generalize theoretical aspects and develop methodological support for assessing regional convergence and investment attractiveness of the regions of Ukraine. The methodological basis of the dissertation is the fundamental provisions and principles of the theory of investment attraction and the theory of spatial development. The work uses a systematic approach, as well as a set of cognitive methods, in particular: logical generalization, analysis and synthesis (to establish relationships between the economic development of the region and the state of its investment attractiveness); economic and statistical analysis and spatial data analysis (to assess the state of investment attractiveness of territories and industries); correlation and regression analysis (to determine the presence and nature of the relationship between indicators of regional economic systems); R. Solow model (to determine the convergence of regional economic systems); simulation modeling method (to determine the relationships between investment activity indicators and the system of indicators of socio-economic development of regions), graphical method (for visual presentation of research results). The scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the improvement of theoretical aspects and methodological support for assessing differences in the processes of investment development of regions of Ukraine. Namely, the methodological approach to assessing the investment attractiveness of regions has been improved; the methodological approach to assessing regional convergence; further development has been made: determining the determinants of the potential investment attractiveness of the region; theoretical and methodological approach to determining the potential investment attractiveness of macroeconomic systems of various scales; determining the essence of the concept of "mechanism of investment development of regions"; classification of factors that influence potential investment attractiveness.
