Matukhno H. Institutional factors of public political participation of youth in modern Ukraine

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the functioning factors of political institutions functionally aimed at promoting public political participation of domestic youth. The paper assesses the state of influencing factors of political institutions on the level of public political participation of youth in modern Ukraine, develops an appropriate classification, and proposes ways to improve institutional practices of interaction with youth. As a result of the research, the main problems of the functioning of political institutions in promoting public political participation of domestic youth were identified, their causes were outlined, and a list of proposals and recommendations aimed at solving them was developed. The theoretical significance of the obtained results is based on the possibilities of applying the developed approaches to understanding the essence of the studied phenomena, thanks to the clarification of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of domestic political science, as well as taking into account the obtained data in further studies of youth political participation in modern Ukraine. Special attention is paid to the material on the staging of the institutionalization process of youth policy, the classification of institutional factors of public political participation of youth, as well as the systematization of the identified problems in relation to the studied institutional factors of public political participation of young citizens. It is emphasized that the synergy of different institutional factors in various configurations can have a multivariate effect at the level of inter-institutional and intra-institutional interaction. The final outcome of the study was the development of proposals to correct gaps in the domestic regulatory and legal framework, which negatively affect the functioning of political institutions in promoting public political participation of young citizens. The obtained results provide an opportunity for the implementation of a whole set of political decisions aimed at improving the algorithms of political institutions functioning in terms of creating conditions for the political socialization and integration of young citizens into important socio-political processes by promoting public political participation of domestic youth.
