Bilyats'ka V. The problem of the Artist in the aesthetic and artistic evolution of Lina Kostenko and Vasyl Stoos.

The research paper is dedicated to a major problem of modern literature studies - the problem of the Artist in aesthetics and poetics of Lina Kostenko and Vasyl Stoos whose life and activ-ity have contributed to the acknowlegement of Ukrainian litera-ture as a world one. The creative achievements in tackling the problem of the Artist are especialy noteworthy because they give an all-round original view of the most radical creative ideas and aspirations of the time. The dissertation presents the results of the Artist conception validation. Publicistic speeches, articles, diaries and letters as well as poetic works depicting the role of a Master and art in society. The author stresses the phenomenon of liberty and will in the poet's creative work, shows artistic and aesthetic contents of personalism, those notions that predeter-mined sensuality of the Artist in the Ukrainian literature of the 60s and 70s of the XX century.
