The this work is devoted to studying the history, the historical geography, the economy and population of Great Bulgaria of Curbat. This work reveals a new technique of historical research of the nomad societies based on learning of their ecological and economical and ecological and demographical characteristics. It's proved, that nomad economy and the society, existing on its basis, are subject to effect of a number of the interconnected social, economic and ecological legitimacies, which influence its well-being, population, military activity of nomads. This system of legitimacies was transmitted in the formula and is used as a scientific method for delimiting and population of Great Bulgaria of Curbat. The pacing factors influential in life of the traditional nomad society, are detected the absolute them absolute and relative values and metrics are placed. The variant of localization of Great Bulgaria and its breeding division is offered, the number of its population which is taking place in limits2 00 thousand the man is placed. The obtained results were proved theoretically and are reconfirmed on the basis of usage of historical analogies and other methods of scientific research.
