Krychun I. Clinico-histochemical diagnostics of cerebral accidents in cerebral atherosclerosis and hypertonic diesease

The dissertation is dedicated to a study of the contents of insulin and catecholamines(CA) in the erythrocytes and glucose in the blood during the acutest period (the first 10 days) of cerebral insult (CI) under conditions of insulin functional loading (5 units on the average) and glucose(50 g on the average). A histochemical technique of early diagnostics and prognostication has been proposed as regards the course of cerebral insults as well as the method of correction of the existing treatment strategies concerning cerebral insults by small dozes insulin, depending on the level of both CA and insulin changes in the erythrocytes and glucose in the blood. We have shown the role of disturbance of the erythrocyte insulinotransport function in the genesis of transitory hyperglycemia of the acute period of CI. Different variants of insulin and CA changes in the erythrocytes have been established, depending on character of insult, its course and nosologic form of disease
