Research subjects: Winter wheat ev. Albatros odessky, nitrogen fertilizers, plant growth regulator, liquid top-dressing. Research objectives: To establish the effectiveness of mineral fertilizer and new plant growth regulator ap- lication to the winter wheat under conditions of the Northern subzone of the Ukrainian Steppe. Method: The field trials and laboratory investigations according to conventional practices. Theoretical and practical results: The experimental results enabled to economically substantiate and propose to production the new type of nitrogen ferti- lizer and plant growth regulator which contributa to winter wheat yield inerease and grain quality impro- vement as well as obtaining of ecologically pure products. Novelty of introduced: For the first time in the Nort- hern Subzone of the Ukrainian Steppe the high efficiency of the carbonate-ammonium salts (CAS) as alternative nitrogen fertilizer for winter wheat top dressing has been established. The methods of new plant growth regulato r triman-1 for winter wheat plant spray- ing and liquid top-dressing with CAS at the booting stage are elaborated. Inplementation_degree: The obtained results are prac- tically introduced into ATP "Prisamarye"(Novomos- kovsk district Dniepropetrovsk region) on the area of 170 ha (1998) and 225 ha (1999). At the Experimental form of IGF thcy were implemented in 1999 on the area of 120 ha For the year of 2000 the CAS top dressing to winter wheat is planned of the area of 10 000 ha. Effectiveness: As a result of CAS top dressing intro- duction the cost value and power consumption per 1 mc of wheat grain has been reduced by 8 and 2% respectively.
