The thesis deals with the fundamentals of publicistic theory viewed as a kind of literary creativity, briefly defines such basic notions as culture of the language (and public speaking), publicistic speaking style, style creating and non-style creating means of publicism, its division into genres; the thesis focuses on formation of the public speaking culture of the pupils of the V-XI forms of secondary schools mainly at the lessons of the Ukrainian language, and also via the system of extracurricular educational and educative activities.
