Investigation object: semimagnetic semiconductors (SMS) on the base of mercury telluride. Investigation purpose: determination of the parameters of the anergy band structe, the characteristics of the spin exchange interaction with participation of electronic and magnetic subsystems and study of expansion of opportunities of application in optoelectronic devices for SMS on the base of mercury telluride. Investigation methods and apparatus: magnetooptical studies, monochromatos, photodetectors. Theoretical and practical results, novelty: Anomalies of spectral and magnetic field dependence of the Faraday rotation angle in SMS Hg1-xMnxTe, Zn1-x-yHgxMnyTe та Cd1-x-yHgxMnyTe were found similar to those in SMS type of CdMnTe. Regularity of temperature dependence of the Faraday rotation has been found and the temperature of phase transition from paramagnetic state to spin glass has been determined for Hg1-xMnxTe, Zn1-x-yHgxMnyTe. Exchange constants and exchange integrals were estimated for Zn1-x-yHgx MnyTe. For the first time giant Voigt effect was observed in the studied materials. We have found abrupt increase of Voigt phase shift as temperature was decreased to 80 K in Cd0,75Mn0,25Te. It was found that Voigt phase shift is proportional to square magnetization at temperatures (80-300) К. Degree of application: it is planned. Sphere (area) of application: optoelectronics.
