Essay

The object of investigation: electron beams, emission nonuniformity of cathode, fluctuation of electron beams. The aim of investigation: the creation of numerical dynamic model of axissymmetrical electron-beam devices with the bundles of small and average intensity and its application for studying physical processes in devices and in the process of their projection. Theoretical and practical results: the developed model allows to take into account emission characteristics of the cathode including initial distribution of emitted electrons according to velocities, currents fluctuations as well as consider the influence of emission nonuniformity of cathode. There is found a method of quantitative description of regularities connected with the influence of sizes and localization of different areas of emission surface of cathode on volt-ampere characteristics. There is offered a method of calculating the coefficient of depression of short noise by space charge. The sphere of usage: projection of EBD.
