Golyuk Y. Variability and correlation of quantitative characters in diversifbraus hemp varieties

Subject: hemp. Purpose: to cletermine the peculiarities in variation and relationship of quantitative traits in hemp for using in selection. Methods: morphological, technological, statistical analyses, family - group selection. Results: there has been made a comparative study on quantitative traits of low - and high - fibrous hemp varieties and plants of solid and spaced planting. Here have been revealed some differences between main components of plant productivity as to stem's fibre and fibre content in a stem for their effect on fibration of a hemp stem. There have been established correlation and regressive relation - ships between morphological and economic traits, The have been developed some methods to increase stem's productivity as to its fibre and to improve its qualitative composition. There has been obtained a new highly productive material, which is now going through a competitive variety trials. Adoption area: breeding institutions, farms.
