Ful'mes M. Retrospective analysis of the effectiveness of radical surgical treatment of patients with colorectal cancer

Basing on figures of corrugated 5- and 10-years survival studied was the effectiveness of surgical treatment of 940 patients with colorectal cancer. Estimated were the peculiarities of terms of progressing of tumor process after radical operations on colon and on rectum. Determined were clinical and morphological prognostic parameters which negatively influence upon durable recovery of patients. For the first time described, was the phenomenon of metastasizing of colo-rectal cancer into near-bowel fat cellular tissue. Specified, were the figure, concerning the choice of the volume of radical operation in localization of tumors in the inferior and in the middle third of the rectum. Grounded was the purposefulness of palliative operations in solitary metastases of colorectal cancer into liver.
