Yevtushenko G. Elements of ecologically safe technology of cultivation of sugar maize in the East of Ukraine.

The thesis is devoted to the technology of growing sugar maize in the East of Ukraine. It was for the first time that the elements of ecologically safe technology of cultivating sugar maize have been developed for this region taking into consideration biological peculiarities of subspecies and new sorts. For obtaining stable and high crops of corn-cobs of sugar maize without using herbicides and their regular continuous delivery to the consumer in the East of Ukraine it is necessary to sow early ripe sorts Romashca and Delikatesnaya, middle early ripe sorts Aromatnaya, middle ripe sorts Appetitnaya 5 and Dabble Sweet with the thickness of plant standing 80 thousand per hectare. For decreasing the material and power supply expenses and maintaining high microbiological soil activity in arable layer and also for obtaining quality products it is expedient to use preparations of diazotroph bacteria instead of mineral fertilizer or some of their parts: rizoagrin, rizoenterin, agrophil. Introducing the given elements of technology into production provides the productivity of crops of corncobs as high as 80-95 centners per hectare of early ripe, 120-136 centners per hectare middle early and 135-150 centners per hectare middle ripe sorts.
