The object of study: The literary text of old Ukrainian literature the Slovo o polku Igoreve. The objective of study: To characterize the condition of the Ukrainian Slovo scholarship in 1970-1990th in the context of common development of the science about the Slovo. Methods: Descriptive, comparative, analytical. Theoretical and practical results: The scientific and theoretical level of the researchers and real contribution of the Ukrainian scientists to studies of the concrete problems of the Slovo scholarship is determined. Application field: The course of Old Ukrainian literature, special courses and seminars on the Slovo o polku Igoreve in higher educational establishments.
