Essay

The Dissertation considers some peculiarities of connotative consciousness organization in drug addicts. Four groups have been tested: opium drug addicts in narcotic addiction; opium drug addicts without drug addiction and abstinence; alcoholics in the state of remission; and healthy tested people. The work shows that in forming the psychological dependence on stupefying substances there is a transformation of an objective separated semantic spaces into semantically simple connotative spaces. Moreover, the degree lessening of semantic spaces separation is specific both for abstinent drug addicts and for drug addicts in intoxication. The peculiarity of connotative consciousness organization of drug addicts is an independent patopsychological mechanism, which is fundamental in clinical syndrome of a psychological dependence on stupefying substances. With this the connotative similarity of concepts - sobriety and intoxication - becomes a basic clinical symptom of fixed ideas of drug usage, while the disto rtion of the subjective time and space is basic in depersonal and derealizational disorders causing the appearance of a psychological discomfort symptom without narcotic intoxication. The obtained disorders of personal consciousness of drugs addicts are the result of an organism attempt to reconstruct a state of a changed consciousness when drugs are not supplied into the organism
