The Ukrainian zooidioms are researched. To establish the character of extralinguistic reality's reflection in them. Descriptive, comparative and historical methods, modeling, psyholinguistic experiment, structural and semantic analysis. The phraseosemantic groups of zooidioms and the influence of zoonims-symbols on their forming are established. The markers of cultural and national semantics are brougt out. The analysis of the leading role of the connotative component of zooidioms semantic structure is carried out.
