Svereda N. The evaluation of varieties and hybrids of potatoes on resistance to phytophthora and selection of parent forms for practical breeding in the western region of Ukraine

Potato varieties and hybrids. The improvement of scientific-fundamentals of raising efficiency of potato breeding for phytophthora-resistance. The research methods are generally accepted. The new phytophthora-resistance sources with a complex of other agronomic characters are selected. The high degree of the efficiency of genetic and breeding and chemical way of potato protection from phytophthora combination is determined. The system of genetic and breeding and chemical potato protection from phytophthora is improved. The research data are used for breeding work of the Institute of Agricalture and Stock-Breeding of the UAAS, the Lviv State Agrarian University and the Mining-Carpathian Experimental Station. The introduction of new phytophtthora-resistant varieties secures the increase in yield 93-135 hkg/ha. The field of application - agricultural prodaction.
