The tesis contains results of clinico-immunomorphological investigation of 180 newborns and 280 infants, suffering from pneumonia. The changes of some immunological characteristics and patho-morphological changes of immunologic organs (thymus, spleen and lungs) are established. It is showed that the immunological dysfunction is one of the key factors of the pneumonia in newborns and infants. Adjunctive treatment with using immune corrective means provides for the normalization of some immunological data in clinical cases. Their clinical efficacy is studied.
