Mosendz A. Modeling of locomotive stock operation and choice of rational power for tractive units.

The dissertation is devoted to problems of modeling the locomotive stock operation and choosing the rational power levels for tractive units. In this work based upon the results of correlative and spectral analysis of statistical information on a ctivity of the Dniepropetrovsk State Enterprise for Transportation of Goods and Passengers a method is chosen and a technique is designed that make possible to simulate the enterprise activity on the basis of predictor variables with the use of mathemati cal models. It enables one to save the considerable share of funds in conducting the investigations and planning the indices for further work. The technique of determination of rational power for tractive modules is developed as well as the algorithm o f choosing the module power (as to one or two types) for trains of different mass is proposed.
