Тhe thesis is dedicated to the study of hog productivity of two generations, digestability of nutrients, slaughter propertiens and meat quality when fed with the rations saturated with the alfalfa grass. Nitrogen and phosphorus balance, histologal structure of the stomach, duodenum, liver and the exocrine part of the pancreas of the experimental hogs have been investigated. Calculations of the economic effectiveness of the alfalfa grass fed to two generations of hog have been carried ont. Jt has been stated that in practical the management of hog-breeding use of the alfalfa grass in the hog rations should be widely recommended, changig grain concentrates and sunflower oil cake (to 30 per cent in teims of protein) by it. Jt gives the opportuhity to make cheaper the animal produce for 15-40 per cent.
