Essay

Rat isolated hepatocytes and isolated liver. Estimation of the efficiency of sucrose-based and other solutions under hypothermic storage of hepatocytes and liver. Light microscopy, spectrophotometry, luminiscent spectroscopy are the methods for investigation. Morphological and metabolic changes in hepatocytes and liver within the period of cold storage in different solutions were investigated. It has been shown that sucrose-based solution is more efficient for hypothermic storage of liver cells and organ. The creation of new solution for long term storage of cells and organs was the sphere of introduction.
