This dissertation is devoted to Y.Mezhenko's literary activity investigation, studying him as a theorist historian of literature and literary critic of the end of 10s and 20s of the 20th century. The subject of investigation is considered as a specific part of the national literary process and a phenomenon which is fundamentally added to the European context, as a result of the outburst, as a stive for getting free from the load of the cause and effect ties, and the essential outcome of the cultural and historical situation, as a phenomenon of the dialogue, creative assistance of a writer, a critic and a reader.
