Essay

. The possibility of roll forming sections with cut-drawn elements has been substantiated. Methods of theoretical analysis of this process using the finite elements method have been elaborated. A computer programme has been worked out which makes it possible to determine the geometrical form of the plastic area and the power parameters of the process. A combined experimental research into process has been conducted. The power parameters were determined by strainmeters, while stressed-and-strain state - by measuring hardness and thinning. The basic principles of designing cut-roll have been formulated. A primary series of new sections and the technology of their manufacturing have been worked out. The technology has been introducted at a number of Ukrainian and Russian works. High efficiency of new kind of metal production has been proved
