The thesis defined a term "palliative operations" in management of patients with bleeding peptic ulcer. The palliative operations, complications, postoperative mortality were analized and classification of these methods was created. It was established an independent predictors and proposed scoring systems of the prognosis of postsurgical lethality. The palliative operation's indications were identified and studied the long-term results.
