The thesis is dedicated to the problem of identification and control of the stress-srain state of wood in the process of drying. The development model of relaxation-strain processes in wood under thermohuming load is worked out. Engeneering technique of eveluating the residual and comlete setting stresses in wood subjected to druing by convection depending on its viscoelastic characteristics and druing agent parameters isnew method of non-fracture control of the mean visco-elastic state of wood in of the course of drying through the difference between the local and the mean humidity contents of wood is suggested.
