Essay

The subject of the present investigation is the early prose works of Bely. His four symphonies are considered as a part of context of the aesthetic searches of romanticism and symbolism. The basic features of the new genre are defined. It is considered the origin of the genre. The main principles of their musical, plot and composition structure of the symphonies are defined. It is offered the description of the symbolical image system in Bely's works. They are considered as the complete space of the individual author myth. The indications that allow to qualify four symphonies as a single whole cycle are established.
