Essay

The dissertation deals with theoretical basis and a new solution of the scientific problem which is in the development of a new complex method of treatment of patients with recurrent genital herpes by means of acyclovir and bacplan. With this end in view cytogenetic and immunologic disorders and their correction in order to decrease occurence and duration of the disease relapse have been studied. With an increase in disease course severity, the level of chromosomes aberration increases and the immunologic insufficiency increases which manifests itself by an decreases in the number of activated lymphocytes without and with two associating acrocentric chromosomes, absolute number of lymphocytes and their subpopulation CD2, CD4 and CD16, a decrease in functional activity of T-lymphocytes against the background of an increase in suppressive T-lymphocytes and a decrease in the function of T-helpers/inductors. An decrease in the concentration of specific anti-herpetic IgG and of increased contents of circul ating immune complex. The complex method of treatment resolves immunologic and cytogenetic impairments, produces a positive clinical effect in 96,7% of patients, lessens the duration of clinical manifestations by 2,4 and the occurrence of relapse by 1,7 times, does not cause adverse effects and is well experienced by patients
