A generalized model to investigation of helix antennas with different geometrical parameters. Theoretical investigation was carried out by means of the vector potential method with the current distribution presentation as a traveling wave with phase current slowing along the antenna wire. Optimization was made on a criterion of the maximal angle volume with a polarization close to circular. Experimental investigation was made both for radiation characteristics and frequency features of the antenna input impedance. The results of the work are accepted to production. Satellite communication are the field of applications.
