The dissertation is the first attempt to study the effectiveness of different doses of Laferon for treating Zoster Herpes patients in comparison with traditional methods. A dose of 2m of IUs a day turned out to be optimum. Intra-muscular injection of the drug restricted new rash appearance, reduced the duration of erythema, ensured quick regress of herpetic elements and decreased pain intensity. Prescription of Laferon of 2m of IUs a day accelerated the normalization of thermographic picture with considerable temperature gradient decrease. It also had a positive effect on condition of immune reactivity of Zoster Herpes patients' organisms. A combined therapy of Laferon and Zovirax ensured quick regress of Zoster Herpes skin manifestations and prevention from complication development.
