Works of art by A.Dovzhenko, diary, letters. To show the peculiarities of O.Dovzhenko's psychological analysis on two levels: social and individual; determine manifestation of variational method of approach of the writer as for the portraying of mentality of the ukrainians. Here are used elements of system and descriptive methods. Also may be used in scientitic, teaching and publishing activities. Thesis is the first research paper about national psychology problems in works by O.Dovzhenko. It was applyed in teaching activities in SSPU.
