Phraseological units (PU). To determine the peculiarities of their arrangment of the folklore collections of the XIX - begining of the XX century. The descriptive, comparative, quantative - statistical methods are used. The results of the research elucidate poorly investigated questions in the History of Ukrainian phraseography, which have not been the object of a monographic research. The conclusions and matherials of the study can be used to prepare university courses in phraseology, in the practice of phraseography.
