The dissertation is devoted to the problem of activation of cognitive interests of final-grade pupils. Theoretical aspect. The conception of cognitive interests dynamics, the model of functioning of interests are worked out. The criteria and indices for cognitive interests and their activation with the final-grade pupils are determined. The definitions for the psychological notion of interest and stimulus are specified. Practical aspect. The technology for activation of cognitive interests of pupils is elaborated. The psychological and pedagogical conditions for activation of cognitive interests are investigted. The systematizing of cognitive interests of final-grade pupils is made. Stimul of activation of interests are classified the key stimuli being novelty of information and emotion tone which is proved by the experimental project carried out.
