The article deals with the investigation results on sowing methods and plant density influence on the growth, development of aerial parts an root system, consumptive water use, utilization of photosynthetic aktive radiation, yielding ability, and seed guality of the sunflower hybrids differing in plant morphology. Positive response of plants to row width narrowing (from 70 to 15 cm) has been established.
