Essay

It is shown that reaction of dorsal motor nucleus of the vagus nerve (DMN) and locus coeruleus is dependent on the degree of diabetes severity and its type (insulindependent or noninsulindependent). Hypoxic trainings in normal and diabetic animals results in activation of DMN that leads to increasing of insu-lin synthesis and secretion. In experiments with vagotomy in intact and diabetic rats the direct influence of the vagus nerve on the functional state of Langerhans b- and a-cells is shown/
