The object: the animal vocabulary of South Volyn-Podillia Border dialects. The aim - to analyze South Volyn-Podillia Border dialects on the material of animal lexicon. The methods descriptive and methods of linguistic geography. Theoretical importance: the made atlas of animal vocabulary expands information about Ukrainian dialects. It is a payment in the decision of problem of Ukrainian language dialect dividing. The practical value - the results can be used for drawing up of the dialect dictionaries, Lexical atlas of Ukrainian language, in linguadidactic of higher school. The novelty: for the first time systematically the structural organization of animal vocabulary of South Volyn-Podillia Border dialects is described, the items on information of Atlas of Ukrainian language on this area are complemented.
