Thesis is devoted to the aspects of technology improvement for manganese ore deposits extraction by stopes. In this work there is given a new solution of actual problem of defining the optimal width of extraction column based on calculation and account of dependence of extraction drift contour displace ment in the zone of stoping influence on cohesion coefficient of rocks adjacent to the contour. It is stated that the optimal width of extraction column depends on the value of rock contour displacement of extraction drift cross-section, and this dependence has monotone decreasing character. There is offered the technology of manganese ore extraction where stability of stope headings junction during extraction is achieved by formation of rock-anchor plate on the base of anchor-frame plate usage. The main results of the work have found industrial application at designing, preparation and stoping of extraction columns.
