Prevars'ka L. Culture of Ukrainians in Canada: tendencies and problems of development (the end 19-th - 20-th cent.)

In the dissertation the evolutionary tendencies of the Ukrainian culture in Canada at the end 19-th - 20-th cent., the formation of the Ukrainian Diaspora, inter-cultural influences, and also the development of the Ukrainian culture in modern Canada; inter-state policy of Ukraine and Canada in cultural contacts, and its perspectives are investigated. The principal directions for the formation of the Ukrainian cultural spaciousness, inter-cultural influences - ethnic-centered and ethnic-circled in the appropriate spectrum of their types: historical, evolutionary unique, nationally self-conscious, spiritually creative, geopolitical, assimilative and globalizing - are determined.
