Kravchenko M. The language and style of B.D.Grinchenko's works.

The thesis deals with the investigating the language of Grinchenko's literary and non-literary heritage. Grinchenko's language has been analyzed from the viewpoint of his idiostylistic peculiarities connected with the differences in the then language practice (10-50ies of the XIXth century). Th so-called key lexico-thematic groups (Ukraine, nation, work, school, language, literature) and words-symbols in Grinchenko's microcontext have been pointed out. Stylistic, semantic, functional analysis of lexical, lexico-grammatical, word-formative bookish and colloquial units in the language of Grinchenko's works has been made and traditional and innovatory trends in language practice of the great man of culture have been shown.
